Miramare Residence was an idea of Giulia and Antonio who, more than 30 years ago, after a working experience in Torino, decided to return to their loved Sicily, to create a new tourist activity in the splendid island of Favignana.

Our motto? Very simply your well being!

• In 1979 the Miramare camping site opened its doors to the public for the first time. The area was still quite barren and, following cultivation, needed constant care to be able to survive the island's climate. Eco-friendliness was always at the back of Giulia and Antonio's plans. In fact they even installed solar panels for water heating.
• The first stone structures were built in 1990 to accommodate clients in top comfort. Bio-buildings were built in white “Tufo”, a typical limestone of Favignana, which blends fully well with the environment. During these eleven years, the constant care and attention given to plants has resulted in rich vegetation and splendid gardens.
• During the same year, the camping site received four stars thus becoming one of the best in Sicily, with respect to quality of services, cleanliness, greenery and vast spaces offering tranquility.
• In 2001, new buildings were constructed while others were renovated , thus reaching today's 43 studio flats.
• The camping site which had been restricted for a long time was closed in 2010 making room for the Miramare Residence. The park which was constantly tended and enriched with typically Mediterranean vegetation reached today's levels of splendor.
• In 2013, the Miramare gardens were included as part of the Reserve Marine Park of the Egadi Islands.

Since then many changes and transformations have been made over the years, a piece of land destined as a campsite has now become a garden measuring more than 40.000 sq m. the backdrop of our well distributed and planned Residence.

In all these years of change we have modernized the complex, transformed it but have always considered as pivotal the attention to be placed in interpreting our needs without sacrificing the homely, familiar and welcoming atmosphere. As opposed to most other residences, we offer cleaning and linen change several times a week.

The colorful and fragrant plants and flowers in our gardens and the calm atmosphere make the Miramare Residence the ideal setting for those who wish to get out of the city chaos, fast pace and smog.
